Clinical Psychologist

In Person Availability

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and academic, with current positions as a Full Professor at Palo Alto University and Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Stanford University (2007 – present).  As a professor, I teach classes in assessment and psychodiagnostics of both child and adult psychiatric issues and direct a research lab studying adolescent and young adult substance use.

Clinically, my passion lies in cognitive and psychological assessment.  My past experiences are broad, including work with children and adolescents (ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and psychiatric evaluations), older adults (dementia), and psychodiagnostic testing, including severe mental illness and personality disorders. I have extensive experience with traumatic brain injury assessments, including concussion evaluations (baseline and post-event) for professional athletes and youth in high-impact or high-collision sports (like football and gymnastics).

I believe anything worth doing is worth doing right. In addition to being a professor, I am also a mom to two children, one who lives with a serious chronic health condition. I chose to pause my clinical practice when they were young to have better work-life balance.  Now that my kids are older, I have the time, knowledge, and experience and am excited to practice  what I have taught for over two decades. I am available to provide personalized assessment services to clients seeking accommodations, diagnoses, or clarification of their psychological concerns.
