Relucent Psychology Group offers a range of psychological services, including but not limited to individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, psychological assessments, and telehealth services.

Our therapists are licensed and/or trained professionals and are specialized in providing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. However, therapy is a process, and the effectiveness of services may vary depending on individual circumstances.

Eligibility

By accessing our Site or engaging with our services, you confirm that you are: At least 18 years of age (or have parental consent if under 18); Residing in a jurisdiction where we are legally authorized to provide services; Seeking therapy for yourself or for a child under your legal care.

If you are seeking therapy for someone else (e.g., a child or dependent), you must be the legal guardian or authorized to provide consent on their behalf.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to: Attend scheduled appointments or provide reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling; Pay for services in accordance with our payment policy; Engage in therapy with honesty and openness; Follow any instructions or recommendations provided by your therapist.

Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in the termination of services.

Confidentiality and Privacy

We take your privacy and confidentiality seriously. All information shared during therapy sessions will be kept confidential in accordance with [local laws, such as HIPAA in the U.S.] unless otherwise required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others, child abuse, or court order).

We utilize secure methods for storing and transmitting information, including for telehealth services, to ensure your privacy.

Fees and Payment Terms/Session Fees 

The standard fee for therapy sessions varies so please reach out to us directly. Rates are subject to change. You will be notified of any changes. Payment Methods: We accept payments via credit card, FSA/HSA card, and debit card. Payment is due at the time of service, unless otherwise arranged. Insurance: If you wish to use insurance, it is your responsibility to verify your insurance benefits prior to your first session. We do not guarantee that your insurance will cover all fees. Missed Appointments: If you miss an appointment without 24 hours’ notice, you may be charged a cancellation fee.

We reserve the right to change our payment policies, and you will be notified of any significant changes.

Termination of Services

Either you or your therapist may terminate the therapeutic relationship at any time. If you choose to discontinue services, we may request a final session to discuss referrals or additional treatment options.

We may also terminate services if you do not adhere to the agreed-upon treatment plan, repeatedly miss sessions, or if the therapeutic relationship is no longer beneficial. In such cases, we will offer recommendations for alternative care if necessary.

SMS/Text Messaging Consent and Terms

By providing your phone number or engaging in communication with us via SMS/text messaging, you consent to receiving messages related to appointments, reminders, billing, and other client-related communications.

We may send automated or manual text messages to the number you provide. These messages may include appointment reminders, schedule changes, billing inquiries, and other relevant information related to your care.

You may opt out of receiving non-essential text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any text message, or by contacting us directly at [email protected]/(408) 680-4114. Message frequency will depend on your engagement with our services.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes, and all messages sent will be in compliance with applicable laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA guidelines. All SMS practices are in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations, especially when it comes to client-sensitive information. HIPAA prohibits sending protected health information (PHI) via unsecured text messages.

You agree that Relucent Psychology Group is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from your use of this Site or participation in therapy services.

We are not responsible for any actions or decisions you make outside of the therapy sessions, and you agree to take full responsibility for your own well-being.

Intellectual Property

The content on this Site, including articles, resources, images, and other materials, is the intellectual property of Relucent Psychology Group and is protected by copyright laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any materials from this Site without prior written permission.

Website Use

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others or interfere with the operation of the Site.
